Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also an anchor of SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been since her age of nine. This skill has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was reporter for sports at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. After 2009, the news reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. Reporting on stories about the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of Mexico-Texas border, she was an anchor for newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for news at 9 p.m. news in English as well as a reporter again for news at 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. She would also fill in on occasion as a weather and sport anchor. Then she became anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her greater responsibilities. She also wrote articles for the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She was advertised as a sports anchor on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She served in the same capacity for the network's magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in Veracruz Mexico. The family moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. In 1992, the family relocated to Miami after relocating to Mexico in the US. In the course of a few months, her father separated from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. When on vacation Antonietta spent the time at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten an offer to work. As a senior in high school but knowing exactly what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta went to the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered her the major that she desired. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the University. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for a number of years, was a friend. Her professor urged her to be confident and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
