Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. Her father abandoned the family when she was just a little girl. Brink fell pregnant at the age of 14, and was then told to quit high school. To help support her family, she lived with a close colleague and worked in the local laundry. In 1995, Brink became a member of her first group Pulse which was based on the streets of Albany New York. It was a local band that mostly opened concerts for bands like Coal Chamber and Sevendust. The band broke up later. At the age of aged 25, she relocated between California to Los Angeles looking for her breakthrough. While searching for a band Brink worked in retail stores and sang in coffee shops and in bars. She met Chris Howorth, the band's current band member, at an audition a year later. Howorth declined her audition due to the fact that her gender was not a factor. After watching her performance she convinced him to audition. They formed a band called Dying Stars together with Jeff Fabb, the drummer. Blake Bunzel, Josh Newell and Josh Bunzel were later added to the band. Following two concerts, the band changed its name to In This Moment.
